About Our Bakery

Hi, my name is Elida Wiseman and I'm the owner of Always Baked-Sweets and Treats. I was born in Bosnia (Europe) and moved to Des Moines after the Bosnian war in 1993. I've lived in Iowa since the age of 5. I've always had a passion for baking and I remember being in the kitchen as a kid watching my mom and grandma bake. I was so fascinated with the outcome (delicious goodies) I'd rather help them bake then play with my sisters. I'm so happy and extremely blessed that I've been able to turn my passion into a full time business.

I met my husband Alexander in 2015, Starting dating in 2016 and have been married since December 2018. We started our bakery business in November 2019 and it has successfully been growing ever since. 

Always Baked is a licensed and insured home based bakery. We create delicious sweets and treats for everyday indulgence as well as special occasions. We specialize in flavor infusion creating delicious one of a kind desserts. We also work with local breweries, wineries, distilleries and farms to create delicious and fresh baked goods using mostly local ingredients. Tasty treats you can enjoy anytime of the day. We are told you can never order enough and they never last too long.

All of our baked goods are made fresh, never frozen or refrigerated (Unless it's cheesecake). Orders are made fresh the day of your delivery. Please remember we need at least a 2 day notice on all orders unless already booked. Our calendar is updated on a regular basis so please check it before placing your orders. Thank you!
